The gang at Nucleus love their Video Nasties, as do we all, and here they have given the four star treatment to one of them, Rene Cardona’s 1969 remake of his earlier Doctor of Doom (1962). This madcap Mexican horror flick tells of a scientist who puts the heart of a gorilla into the body of his dying son, who is suffering from what the scientist refers to as “loose-seam-ia.” The operation is a resounding success, but then the re-animated lad turns into a pug-ugly marauding killer who rapes and rips apart every living being in sight.
