The new Dark Side has gone off to the printers today, and tomorrow we will take delivery of our new book, Amicus – The Friendly Face of Fear. There are some fabulous features in issue 179, including Denis Meikle’s look at The Picture of Dorian Gray and Pandora and the Flying Dutchman, two great horror/fantasy films by director Albert Lewin. Somebody just commented that he felt we should up our game in our design and get with the modern ethos of using lots of white space as is the fashion. I love the way that my good friend Kevin Coward designs The Dark Side and we will stay with the old fashioned way of doing things because it definitely works for us, especially when the result looks as good as this. I will be putting the Fiend Without A Face cover on the site soon, and I think it is one of the best we have ever had. What’s not to love about flying brains?
